Energy Audits – what are they?

Our commitment to providing environmentally friendly Energy Audits is the first step in providing an energy efficient solution for your organisation. Our professional team will meet with you to carry out the following easy 2 step process:
  • Conduct Energy Audit
An energy audit (as per AS3598) is a review of energy use at your facility or premises. The purpose being to identify measures that can be implemented to reduce your energy useage.
  • Planning Session
After conducting the audit we will prepare for you a report that contains a list of energy saving recommendations, ranked in order of payback. For each recommendation the expected cost, benefit, greenhouse savings and payback period will be shown in concrete terms.

We only design and promote energy efficient concepts, it is up to you whether you decide to proceed. Not only are we green electricians we are also educators. Every job we do, whether it is installing a light, a hot water system or an oven, we look for an energy saving component to incorporate. We believe now is the time for electricians to do their part to improve the environment.

Energy Smart, ideas you can do right now
  • Switch off lights when you leave the room.
  • Adjust the thermostat by 1° to cut emissions from heating/cooling by up to 10%.
  • Leave the car in the garage and walk or ride a bike instead.
  • Turn off appliances at the wall.
  • Put energy efficient light bulbs on the shopping list.
  • Put lids on saucepans – they'll heat much quicker and use less energy.
  • Wash clothes in cold water in full loads.
  • Dry washing on the clothes line rather than in the dryer
  • Fix dripping taps.
  • Install a water efficient showerhead.
  • Inflate car tyres to maximum recommended pressure for increased fuel efficiency.
  • Choose solar-powered garden lights.
  • Don't spend ages in the shower. The more hot water you use the more greenhouse gases will be produced.

  • Turn off the computer properly every time you use it.
